Please have a look at the services I offer and read about how the business came into fruition. “More Than Feet” is a play on word, representing that the feet, in reflexology terms, activates the whole body. It also represents that I offer additional services to reflexology.

Bec Davies Jones
Hello and welcome to More Than Feet. My name is Bec, and I am a holistic therapist based in Heath, Cardiff, offering Reflexology and Massage. Originally raised in the valleys, I studied in Cardiff and Swansea, and qualified as a Social Worker. I spent eight years working in child protection and fostering, managing trauma, abandonment issues, and abuse. After that, my partner and I adopted a sibling group of two, and a new journey began. We chose home education ensured and it was then I was introduced to holistic therapies. I learnt quickly of the magical benefits of holistic therapies to the mind body and soul, which led me on to retrain as a holistic therapist . I have a great understanding of challenging behaviors and neurodiversity, specifically ADHD, ASD, FASD, and Dyslexia. My approach is non-judgmental, person-centered, and inspired by the belief that we’re all capable of change if we seek it.

Reflexology is an ancient form of therapy, which is believed to date back to Egyptian times. The feet contain over 7,000 nerve endings which can be stimulated or placated, affecting corresponding organs or systems in the body.
The feet are also believed to contain chakras (energy points); disease, stress and injuries can block these vital energy pathways, negatively affecting homeostasis, which reflexology seeks to redress and rebalance. Reflexology has been proven, in several studies, to reduce a person’s experience of physical pain, making it desirable for chronic conditions.
It is a non-invasive therapy that can be effective in promoting deep relaxation and wellbeing by: reducing stress in people's lives, optimising good health and building resilience.
Clinical reflexology is different to traditional reflexology; a tailored and clinical plan is devised to meet your physical and/or emotional needs, which is reviewed after each treatment. Any imbalances, in the form of visual and tactile findings will be recorded and addressed at the next. Generally, it is recommended that a course of four to six treatments is completed weekly, or bi-weekly, to address the ailments that you have identified.
However, it maybe that you want a treatment as and when the occasion arises, and this is perfectly fine too.
You will lay on the therapy couch, covered in a warm blanket, your back will be elevated slightly; I will sit on a stool at the end of the bed to massage the feet with balms.
I specialise in menopause reflexology, trained by Sally Earlam, offering respite to menopausal symptoms.
I also offer hand reflexology which can be a standalone treatment or used in conjunction with reflexology. Useful for homecare advice, used in-between treatments.
Price: £35 per hour
Advanced Facial Reflexology has been developed over the past 20 years by Ziggie Bergman - founded on Fitzgerald’s Zone Therapy; inspired by Native American healing techniques.
Facial reflexology aims to balance the entire body, whilst also offering secondary aesthetic qualities of a radiant glowing complexion, coined as, "a natural alternative to Botox"
A 40-minute facial reflexology sequence is completed, using pressure applied by the fingers, and amethyst (promoting clarity and balance) and quartz (promoting healing and love) facial wands.
The techniques stimulate the body's healing mechanisms, improving circulation and nerve conduction; encouraging the release of toxins via the lymphatic system.
The close proximity of the face to the brain and cranial nerves, make facial reflexology very powerful in impacting the body's systems - connecting the body's neural pathways.
Advanced Facial Reflexology can improve emotional wellbeing – reducing stress. There have also been significant improvements noted in addressing migraines, bruxism (teeth grinding), Bells Palsy and sinus conditions.
The face is cleaned using Neal’s Yard cleanser, a hot towel is then applied to the face, relaxing muscles, increasing circulation and opening pores. Neal’s Yard’s facial oil is massaged to the face and the relaxing reflexology sequence begins.
Indian Head Massage and/or a back massage can be added to the treatment.
£35 per hour.
Diploma in Sports Massage, NVQ Level 3 (Pencoed College)

Several studies have highlighted the therapeutic and physical benefits of Swedish Massage, particularly in addressing low mood.
It is possible that you come, with the view to relax or to invigorate; my approach will be adapted to your needs and pre-blended aromatherapy oils will be applied to your skin, amplifying the benefits of the treatment.
Calming music will be played, lights dimmed and you will lay on the couch, covered in a towel, having removed the clothes that you are comfortable with - when I am out of the room.
Only the relevant areas of the body will be exposed during treatment, modesty maintained at all times. The body carries us through life but it is just a vessel to our souls.
There is nothing to be embarrassed about and we all come in different sizes and shapes; the couch holds 340 kg, making the treatment accessible to all.
A bottled water will be provided to you at the end of treatment, instead of a glass, due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The following Swedish Massage treatments can be offered:
£35 per hour, 1.5 hours £50
Swedish Massage, NVQ Level 3 (Mi:Skin)
A powerful and healing treatment, which is quick, invasive and can be completed sitting or lying on the therapy couch.
Reducing tension and stress, clearing chakras, improving mood, blood/lymph flow and inducing relaxation and general sense of wellbeing, and much more.
Based on the traditional form of champi (head massage) which has been practiced in India for over 1,000 years.
It is a complete treatment involving: back, neck, shoulders, arms, scalp, face and hair. Using a range of relaxing movements to include: effleurage (gentle stroking), petrissage (firm pressure), frictions (stretching tissue), tapotement (striking), vibrations (gentle shaking) and pressure (pressure points).
Oils such as coconut, sesame and almond can be applied to your hair, if this is your wish, resulting in lustrous hair. It is recommended that the oils remain on the hair for three hours, allowing its full affects to occur.
Head massage increases nourishment and oxygen to the scalp and hair follicle, stimulating hair growth, in addition to reducing stress.
£35 per hour
Preferrred choice for relaxation, stress and pain reduction, also aids in the loosening of tight muscles.
Hot stone massage dates back to over 3,000 years in ancient India and China.
The massage routine is no different to that of a Swedish Massage, except bassalt stones, which are volcanic and rich in iron-heated at 55 c-are used instead of hands.
Whereas Swedish Massage promotes lymphatic drainage, muscle elongation and blood flow, Hot Stone Massage has the following unique properties:
Extremely relaxing ; more often than not I have to wake clients at the end of the treatment.
£40 per hour and £60 for 1.5. hours
“Hopi” is named after the native American Pueblo tribe, used herbs and smoke to sweat lodges and in healing. Today Hopi candles are used as a healing and relaxation treatment.
For the treatment, you lay on you your side on the therapy couch, fully clothed with a warm blanket covering you.
The lit candle is placed in the ear canal, my hand covering the ear to seal the smoke and support the candle.
The process is extremely relaxing, as the candle burns crackling is heard and the relaxing properties of the smoke take effect.
The candle will normally burn for eight – 18 minutes, once extinguished you’ll be asked to turn and the process is repeated in the other ear. It is common for clients to fall asleep during this treatment.
The benefits of ear candling include: soothing and clearing energy in the head and sinuses, encouraging relaxation, reducing stress, clears upper respiratory pathways and can help reduce headaches and loosen infected material associated with mild colds and sinusitis.
Following the candling treatment, you will receive a head and facial massage to help stimulate lymphatic circulation and aid the removal of toxins.
From an aesthetic point of view, facial massage has the additional advantage of reducing fine lines and promoting collagen.
Only Boisun Hopi candles are used, which are approved by the EC kitemark and the CE regulatory body.
£40 per hour
Dry cupping involves the use of silicone, hand squeezed vacuum cups, placed or moved over the body’s surface area.
Ideal for people who want a deep treatment, addressing skin and muscular problems. It has also been recommended for fibromyalgia.
The vacuum of the cups lifts the soft tissue, creating an upward stretch within the muscle and associated fascia.
The tissue experiences micro-trauma, resulting in the inflammatory response e.g. release of white blood cells, platelets and fibroblasts; rejuvenating the area.
The treatment can be standalone treatment or used to treat difficult areas in line with Swedish Massage.
£25 for 30 minutes and £35 for an hour
Oncology massage is a specific kind of massage technique suitable for people living with cancer or receiving cancer treatment.
It is a gentle and soothing massage designed to meet the unique and changing needs of someone in treatment.
Some of the benefits of oncology massage include: promoting relaxation, reducing stress and assisting with depression/mood disorders. Research has shown that oncology massage can reduce cancer fatigue and reduce pain symptoms.
If you are receiving cancer treatment, I would humbly request that you seek written authorisation from your Oncologist that massage can take place.
£25 for 30 min and £35 for an hour
I am an adoptive mother to two neurodiverse young people and know first hand the challenges faced by families affected by invisible disabilities. Reflexology can provide the child/young person with an hour’s relaxation, promoting the parasympathetic response, also known as “rest and digest”.
£20 for an hour – making it accessible to all.
Parent/carer remains for the duration of the treatment, in line with insurance stipulations.
Home visits are only offered to individuals/families affected by significant health challenges – to include invisible disabilities i.e. brain injuries. Additional costs may be incurred but all cases are discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Balancing work, homelife and finances can prove stressful for the most resourceful of people. Often our emotional and physical health become second thoughts, when they should be our main priority. Health equals wealth, and without or emotional or physical health, our focus, vest for life and enthusiasm dwindle.
Far too often, people will seek the assistance of a medical doctor to alleviate their pain, because no other options have been explored or made available to them.
Organisational Wellbeing Days offers employees/volunteers/carers an opportunity to experience holistic treatments, supported and endorsed by their organisation.
For busy cooperations we can offer 15-minute Indian Head Massages and 30-minutes reflexology sessions, meaning that your employees can return straight back to work, with no oil or need to remove clothes.
At carers/volunteers Wellbeing Days, the Day maybe more relaxed and longer treatments maybe considered such 30-minute back massages or Hopi Candle Therapy.
Wellbeing Days introduces the importance of health and wellbeing and demonstrates to the employee/carer/volunteer that they are valued. The taster sessions will offer temporary relief to the recipient who will leave feeling rejuvenated and stress free.
The only request that we have is that an area is designated for a bed to be erected. Quick consultation forms will be provided to the employee/carers/volunteers in advance of the treatment. Flexible payment plans are available and be discussed in advance of the booking. Organisations will have the option of paying for the day, for treatments to be subsidised or for employees/carers/volunteers to pay in full.
We are flexible to the needs of our clients and will ensure that the organisational needs are met, contact us for more information.
Lymphatic drainage massage uses light and gentle hand techniques to help move lymph around the body, unblocking stagnant lymph nodes compromised from surgery, illness, or injury.
It is particularly beneficial for people who are suffering from lymphedema, or for conditions which cause inflammation e.g. rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.
Spas are also offering lymphatic drainage massage, claiming that it can reduce cellulite, bloating and improve the performance of the lymphatic system.
It is believed that a 60-minute treatment considerably speeds up the lymphatic system and lasts for up to 10 days.
This technique can be added to Swedish Massage, Oncology Massage, Sports Massage or as a standalone treatment.
£25 for 30 min and £35 for an hour

Please have a look at the services I offer and read about how the business came into fruition. “More Than Feet” is a play on word, representing that the feet, in reflexology terms, activates the whole body. It also represents that I offer additional services to reflexology.
“I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” Maya Angelou.
About me
More Than Feet came about as a result of my own personal journey of self-discovery. In 2002, I qualified as a social worker, with plans to save the world.
“I did then what I knew how to do," Maya Angelou.
Eight years as a qualified child and family social worker, working with abuse, trauma, abandonment issues, and supporting foster carers experiencing acute stress.
“There is a purpose for everyone we meet. Some people come into your life to test you, some to teach you, some to use you, and some to bring out the very best in you”
Self-discovery can come from being tested.
In 2011, we adopted two older children; and a new journey began.
It was at this time that alternative therapies came into my life, providing me with the outlet that I needed. Verbalising life’s challenges can be difficult, especially when others do not understand; loneliness, secondary trauma and PTSD can ensure; counselling is not always helpful in such circumstances.
Mental pain can manifest in the body; "The Body Speaks our Mind,” Deborah Shapiro.
Stress is believed to cause 90% of physical ailments; trauma can build layer upon layer if not addressed, leading to dis-ease. Prescriptions or self-medication is not always helpful, side-effects and chemical numbing of the pain amplifies and delays its processing.
We may not be able to control our circumstances, but how we conceptualise and manage it can influence how we come out the other side. Self-care is imperative during such times and can release held tension in the body, promoting homeostasis.
When faced with extreme life challenges, every aspect of your life is thrown in the air, what descends and comes back to us is testimony of our strength, and what needed to stay. During adversities, we discover parts of ourselves that we did not know exist; people with skills and talents came to me at this time, and to them I am forever indebted. Always pass on good deeds.
Make time for you. You may feel overwhelmed, unable to prioritise an hour out of your schedule, make time, because you are the most important thing in your life and in the lives of others whom you touch.
“Perfect health is my Divine right, and I claim it now.”
It is called self-care, the first step always comes from you – I look forward to meeting you.
